Abstract:
How did Alexander build a huge empire across Europe, Asia and Africa in his thirty-three years of life as he galloped past like a raging wave? In the end, why did the empire fall apart? What legacy is left to future generations? Each person and each point of view projects a different image through "Alexander", as if Alexander's existence itself is a small universe. Teacher Weng Jiasheng will share with us how to think about and get rid of the prejudice of the "Greek-centric view of history", re-examine the Eastern Mediterranean world, and what the Hellenistic era is.
