Abstract:
In its long history, mankind has experienced the "Empire of Land" (Rome, Mongolia), the "Empire of Sea" (British Empire), and finally reached the stage of "Empire of Sky" after entering modern times, and is now regarded as the strongest The "empire" is the United States. Starting from the invention of the airplane, through two world wars, the Cold War, and the War on Terrorism—how did the United States gradually become an "air empire" in a hundred years? What are some of the stories we never knew? How does the aviation culture born out of the longing for the sky ultimately connect to military hegemony? And how did this air empire have its confidence and value destroyed by the same air power during the September 11th incident? The "world history" of the twentieth century is, in a sense, a history dominated by the United States.
