Abstract:
The importance of the Mongol Empire is unquestionable and we mostly understand it. But we are completely blank on the history after its disintegration, as well as the things accumulated and created by "Mongolia", and the various influences and legacy left behind. In fact, the Mongols left "empires" in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, India, and East Asia (China). These empires were directly embedded in local history. They collapsed at the beginning of the 20th century, and their influence continues to this day. Take today's People's Republic of China as an example. It inherits the legacy of the successor states of the Mongol Empire - from Ulus of the Great Yuan Dynasty to Gulun of the Great Qing Dynasty. However, when we want to understand the current situation in Eurasia, we still use the world history structure created with Western Europe as the center. What does Mongolia mean?
