1. Introduction
With the increasingly close exchanges between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries, the domestic demand for talents studying the history and culture of Southeast Asia is increasing day by day. National Cheng Kung University Institute of Archaeology has taken Southeast Asian archaeology as one of its development goals since its establishment. In recent years, the College of Liberal Arts has also actively promoted the Southeast Asian credit program, with the ultimate goal of cultivating talents for the country in related fields such as archaeology, history, art, language and culture in Southeast Asia. Therefore, the Institute of Archaeology proposed the idea of using archaeological specimens from North Moluccas in Indonesia as a museum and archaeological practice. We expect students to have practical experience in cross-border museums and archaeological work, compare the similarities and differences between Taiwanese and Indonesian specimen collection practices, observe local archaeological relics, relics and museum displays, conduct museum collection work, and experience the multiculturalism of Indonesia. The Institute of Archaeology of National Cheng Kung University and the Department of Archeology of Gadjah Mada University will jointly implement the Indonesian Multicultural Archeology Internship Program from July 1, 2023 to August 9, 2023.
