The "God" in monotheistic belief is always referred to as masculine no matter in Arabic, Latin, or English. However, was God positioned as masculine from the very beginning? With the advent of archaeological finds, the gender of gods in early beliefs seems less clear. Based on the evidence presented in the film alone, the statue of the same early god has sparked different arguments from two schools of thought. One group supports the origin of a single god as a goddess, but only for some reasons that are not yet clear, it is transformed into a male god belief. The other group is just the opposite, and its belief is the belief in male gods that have been inherited in one continuous line.
Today monotheistic beliefs have dominated all the world except East Asia. Professor Chung-Ching Shiung from the Institute of Archeology led the audience to explore and speculate on how the source of this situation was established, and the importance of gender issues in religions—especially God itself. In order to bring out the spirit of diversity and tolerance that the Multicultural Research Center wants to present in the new semester.
